Pre-Installed Engine Immobilizer Kit (FMC130)
Quick installation guide - designed for rental fleets
Rental fleets need fast, scalable and reliable protection against theft and unauthorized use.
This guide explains how to install the Carchain pre-installed remote engine immobilizer kit based on Teltonika FMC130, designed to simplify deployment across rental vehicles.
What this kit is (and why it’s different)
The Carchain immobilizer kit is built to make installation simple and repeatable across fleets.
- Pre-installed / pre-wired
- The relay is already connected to the device
- DOUT2 is internally wired
- You only connect 4 cables
Result: faster rollouts, less installation errors, and consistent results across multiple vehicles.

Fast installation (only 4 wiring connections)
This kit has been prepared to require only the minimum required wiring.
- GND (black)
- Circuit input - PIN 30 (blue)
- Starter line - PIN 87a (yellow)
- 10...30 V DC power (red)
Safety & compatibility notes
- On modern vehicles with keyless / Start&Stop, the starter cable may not be accessible
- Professional installation recommended for modern vehicles
- Safety note: The command won’t stop the engine while driving — immobilization applies at the next stop (restart blocked).
How remote immobilization works
The kit uses DOUT2 to control the relay.
- Normal mode (vehicle enabled): DOUT2 OFF - relay stays in NC mode (30 to 87a) - vehicle starts normally
- Immobilized mode: DOUT2 ON - relay opens the circuit - vehicle does NOT start
This keeps the vehicle operating normally and blocks the next engine start when immobilization is enabled.
Final test checklist (from platform)
- Step 1 - Check connectivity: device powers on and connects to the Carchain platform
- Step 2 - Immobilization test: activate immobilization (vehicle must NOT start), deactivate immobilization (vehicle must start normally)

What makes this kit “pre-installed”?
It means the kit is already prepared so you don’t have to wire the relay logic yourself. DOUT2 wiring and relay setup are already done, reducing installation time and mistakes.
How long does installation take?
The kit reduces wiring effort significantly (only 4 connections). Final installation time depends on the vehicle’s accessibility and wiring layout, but the workflow is built for fast deployment across rental fleets.
Is the kit compatible with keyless / Start&Stop vehicles?
In many vehicles yes, but some modern vehicles make the starter circuit hard to access. For those cases, professional installation and vehicle compatibility verification is strongly recommended.
Will immobilization damage the vehicle?
No. When installed correctly, immobilization simply interrupts the starter circuit using a relay. In normal mode, the circuit remains closed and the vehicle operates normally.
Can immobilization be activated while the vehicle is driving?
Yes — the command can be sent while the vehicle is moving, but it will not stop the engine while driving. Immobilization will apply once the vehicle stops and the engine is turned off (it prevents the next restart).
What happens if the device is unplugged?
Rental workflows typically require tamper detection. If unplug detection is enabled, the platform can trigger alerts so the fleet manager can act immediately.
Does this work across Europe?
The software works worldwide. Telematics device connectivity depends on network/SIM coverage (in supported regions, connectivity is powered by 1NCE).
Can I use the same kit setup across all vehicles in my rental fleet?
The goal of this kit is exactly that: standardize installation and reduce variability. However, wiring layouts can differ between vehicle models, so installation must follow proper procedures and compatibility checks.
