Tips for printing QR codes

Below you will find essential tips for printing your Carchain Dynamic QR codes. If you follow them carefully, your audience will scan your code successfully.

Pick the right size

Don’t hide away your code, instead, make it prominent, so your audience will notice it and scan it. Too small QR Codes usually end up unnoticed or unscannable. According to our records, you can follow this simple thumb rule that guarantees your audience will be able to scan your QR Codes. Scan distance / 20 = Edge length of the QR code. Here is an example. Assuming your customers are up to one meter away from your car, the required edge length of the QR Code is: 1m /20 = 5 cm.

Stick your code in flat surfaces

Vehicles usually have a lot of curved surfaces. Placing the QR code in a curve surface will not work at all. Our suggestion is to put it in a flat surface such as windows.

Check the content before and after printing the code.

Before printing, make sure that your QR Code is readable by testing it with different cellphones, after printing the code check again that your code is still readable.

Keep Codes within reach.

Place your Carchain code within appropriate reach for maximum accessibility. Our suggestion is to place three codes: rear side windows and rear window.

Design wisely and give a reason to scan

Colours and logos are a great way to personalize your QR Codes. The Carchain logo gallery gives you the chance to choose between several designs. Pick up the correct one to address passer-by properly.

Choose the right paper to print your code.

Our codes can be easily printed using the glossy photo sticker paper. However, you can always buy our printing service, which guarantees you the correct quality for your code.

  • A QR code is that small square, often black-and-white, that you can find more and more frequently on advertisements. It can contain various kinds of useful information for consumers. It is a two-dimensional code, meaning that it includes data not only in one dimension (e.g. horizontally from left to right like a barcode on products) but also in a second dimension (i.e. vertically and horizontally).

Unlike dynamic QR codes, static QR codes point out to fixed address. A static QR code does not allow changing the destination that the QR code resolves to when scanned.
